老調(diào)重彈：富士康老板說蘋果產(chǎn)品不好做

????好吧，周三早上發(fā)在Techmeme上的22篇帖子大部分我已經(jīng)讀過了，它們基本上都是在重復(fù)路透社（Reuters）對郭臺銘那段講話的報道，卻很少發(fā)表評論或干脆不置一詞。這段講話是郭臺銘在臺北參加一個商業(yè)論壇后對記者說的。 ????路透社的報道稱，郭是這么說的：“生產(chǎn)iPhone并不是一件容易的事情，我們無力滿足巨大的市場需求?！?/p> ????就是這后半句話，所謂的難以滿足需求，致使蘋果股價周三下跌了超過24美元（4.2%）。 ????很好。蘋果公司（Apple）到圣誕時能供給消費者的iPhone數(shù)量將對公司的季度營收產(chǎn)生重大影響。 ????讓我驚訝的是，這22位記者似乎沒有一個人記得，這并不是郭臺銘第一次拿這個話來給他公司的短板當擋箭牌。 ????2010年6月，鴻海集團（即富士康的母公司）發(fā)布了利潤連續(xù)兩個財季下跌的財報，并將長期銷售預(yù)測減半，在這之后舉行的一次股東大會上，郭先生用的是同樣的借口：蘋果產(chǎn)品“生產(chǎn)難度很大”。 ????據(jù)彭博社（Bloomberg）稱，他又補充表示，為了學(xué)會更高效地生產(chǎn)蘋果產(chǎn)品，富士康所付出的努力是值得的。 ????“我們已經(jīng)幫蘋果賺了很多錢了，”他說?！叭绻覀兊目蛻糍嵙隋X，那么我們也能掙錢。我最怕的就是那些掙不到錢的客戶。” ????到了2011年秋，富士康開始生產(chǎn)出成千上萬臺iPhone和iPad，而蘋果當年12月發(fā)布的季度營收報告超過了所有人的預(yù)期。 ????譯者：清遠 |

I've read most of the 22 stories posted on?Techmeme?Wednesday morning repeating -- with little or no commentary --?Reuters' account of Foxconn chairman Terry Gou's remarks to reporters after a business forum in Taipei, Taiwan. ????"It's not easy to make the iPhones," Gou said, according to Reuters. "We are falling short of meeting the huge demand." ????It was that last bit -- about falling short of meeting demand -- that helped drive Apple (AAPL) shares down more than $24 (4.2%) Wednesday. ????Fair enough. The number of ?iPhones Apple will be able to deliver to customers by Christmas will have a material effect on the company's quarterly earnings. ????What surprised me is that none of these 22 reporters seem to remember that this is not first time Gou has used this excuse for his company's shortcomings. ????In June 2010, at a shareholder's meeting after Hon Hai (which owns Foxconn) posted two quarters of declining profits and cut its long-term sales forecast in half, Gou offered a similar excuse: Apple's devices, he said, are "very difficult to make." ????But he added, according to?Bloomberg, that it was worth the effort to learn how to do it more efficiently. ????"We've helped Apple make a lot of money," Gou said. "If our customers make money, then we can also make money. I most fear customers that don't make money." ????By the fall of 2011, Foxconn was turning out iPhones and iPads by the tens of millions and Apple was able to record December quarter earnings that exceeded everybody's expectations. |
