1962年福特雷鳥(niǎo)

????涂覆乙烯基的車(chē)頂最初的設(shè)計(jì)宗旨是賦予固定車(chē)頂車(chē)型以敞篷車(chē)的外觀，但是最終這一裝置演化成了特立獨(dú)行的風(fēng)尚宣言。福特汽車(chē)公司（Ford）于1962年首次在其雷鳥(niǎo)（Thunderbird）車(chē)型上裝配了這一車(chē)頂。乙烯基車(chē)頂果然大行其道，而且，一些配有后側(cè)壁板小窗和雙排座格柵的簡(jiǎn)化版乙烯基車(chē)頂在此后后二十年間的雷鳥(niǎo)車(chē)上依然可見(jiàn)。

1962 Ford Thunderbird

????The vinyl-covered roof was originally designed to give the appearance of a convertible to models with a fixed roof, but eventually it evolved into a styling statement in its own right. Ford tried it for the first time with the 1962 Thunderbird. The vinyl covering proved popular, and some form of vinyl trim, embellished with opera windows and landau bars, would be seen on Thunderbird roofs for the next two decades.
